Anastasia Ponyatovskaya has graduated as an artist from the college in Sankt-Petersburg, Russia and Academy of art in Moldova. After joining the Union of Artists in 2004, she has become widely revered for her unique style and imagination and participated in many art exhibitions including: Moldova, UK, Russia, Germany, Latvia, Malta, Gozo and Italy.
Since 2005 Anastasia Ponyatovskaya has been living in Malta and she finds that this country is full
of legendary and beautiful places which are very inspiring for creations. She presents new original
art works in postmodernism fantasy /fairy tales/ styles. In her art she tries to rethink heritage & old traditions, and bring new inspiration in her work.
At the web page are some Maltese series which are united into one theme: ’’Malta in Fantasy’’. Maltese archipelago which fantasies became a favorite subject of her artistic creation works.
The Nymphs of Comino are inspired of magic aura of Maltese islands and women beauty.
The works are made in oil paint and soft pastel.
Phantasmagoric creatures: Unicorns, Sirens, Mermaids, flying ships could be inhabited
on spellbound Islands.
The landscapes of this enchanting place in the middle of the warm gentle sea are full of bright colors and festively mood.

Анастасия Понятовская родилась в в семье талантливого скульптора Иосифа Понятовского, высекавшего из мрамора и дерева скульптуры . Анастасия с раннего детства овладевала навыками живописи. Профессиональное образование она получила Санкт-Петербургсом Художественном Лицее им. Б.В. Иогансона и в Кишиневском художественном институте .
В ее искусстве прослеживаются характерные особенности национальных традиций и европейского классического художественного образования. Понятовская создает произведения, проникнутые духом сказочных образов и сюжетов, вобравших в себя также мифологические представления, древнее искусство. Ее работы – не прямые иллюстрации мифов и сказаний, не воспоминания о былых великих культурах. Художник творит новых героев, создает особый мир, сочетающий духовные традиции древности и реальность действительности, «густонаселенный» созданными персонажами, фантастическими и одновременно убедительно достоверными (Единороги, нимфы, русалки, богини и другие). Искусство Понятовской возможно рассматривать как явление, близкое жанру фэнтези.
Она работает в различных техниках живопись, акварель, пастель, батик, графика...
В экспозиции в ArteForte галерее представлены около 200 произведений Понятовской.
